Recovery for moms
The involution varies from woman to woman, depending on age and physical disposition, including connective tissue, muscles and bones. The involution is hormonally controlled and the body literally begins to “regress” immediately after birth.
The mother’s recovery phase after the birth is very important. Allow yourself plenty of rest and protection in the postpartum period so that you soon feel strong again. 4–6 weeks after the birth, you are welcome to start the postnatal units with us. If you have the opportunity to come alone, you and your exercises will have our full attention. If you would like to come with your baby, we look forward to seeing you both.
The postnatal units are about finding yourself as a mother and woman in your old — new body. We teach you gentle but effective exercises that rebuild the muscle balance between the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles. The aim of the postnatal exercises is to restore good abdominal wall and pelvic floor tension.
During pregnancy, the abdominal muscles are overstretched and during birth, the pelvic floor muscles are overstretched (even after a caesarean section, your pelvic floor needs gentle strengthening exercises). Overstretching means weakening. That’s why gently restoring healthy muscle tone is so important… also for your posture. Your entire spine will thank you. We practice with joy without overtaxing.
There will also be plenty of room for questions in the sessions and we will talk about challenges, experiences, strengths and weaknesses in order to learn from each other — from mommy to mommy.
All units can be attended as normal with a 5/10 block or time card. Click here to go directly to the timetable and online registration.
The focus is on you as a woman, we look forward to all moms!
