Crete Retreat

Surrounded by sun-drenched beaches, rugged terrain, and crystal clear water, this retreat is a space for you to take a break from the stresses of daily life and reconnect with the ground of who you are. With its rhythm of practice, stillness and nature, relax and recharge, clarify your vision, and take another step toward what you might become!

In lieu of a curriculum crowded with technique and philosophy, this retreat invites you to experience the transformative power of PRESENCE through practices of body (asana), breath (pranayama), and mind (meditation). All levels of experience are welcome!

Morning practices (2.5 hours) with Maria will feature a brief meditation to begin the day, an active asana practice, followed by a ½ hour practice of pranayama to touch a profound place of inner quiet.

Afternoon Practices (2.5 hours) with Joey will feature a practice of active asanas in which students will be encouraged to find their flow within sequences. We’ll cool down with restoratives before closing with a simple meditation.

LOCATION
The LEVINTHOS RETREAT CENTER is perched on an undeveloped stretch of the Libyan Sea, an hour’s drive south of Heraklion, Crete. Beyond the rugged surroundings and crystal clear water, a short walk to the village Lentas offers a small slice of civilization. Otherwise, it’s just us.
