When it comes to movement we have to make a distinction between basic human movement and specialised movement. Most disciplines such as yoga asana, sports, dance etc require specialised skills. However most of us skip the very important step of mastering basic human movement first. We want to start dancing before we have mastered walking, so to speak.
In this innovative class, you will learn to improve your
-) proprioception (= your ability to know where your body parts are in relationship to each other); as well as
-) functional strength & mobility (= strength & mobility which is necessary for human movement).
Expect to progressively learn targeted strength & coordination exercises.
Be surprised by how small & specific drills can be challenging and rewarding.
The teaching curriculum of this class is progressive. You can join anytime, however if you want to build your capacity continuous attendance is recommended.
This class is open to all people.
This class will also be of special interest to movement educators such as yoga teachers, dance in-structors, trainers of any kind, as you will acquire new tools to help your students learn the skills you are trying to teach them.
