Birth preparation for moms & couples
We have been offering birth preparation courses for couples for many years, because we know from our own experience that “being together” during a birth can make a significant contribution to experiencing this major event better/more intensively.
We focus on the following topics:
- the couple (preparation for the birth, birth sensations, positions, etc.)
- Relaxation and breathing exercises for, during and after the birth
- Instructions for a few simple and valuable massages and movements that will be helpful during pregnancy, birth and afterwards
- the appreciation of this special time and the confrontation or perception of the feelings that arise during this time
- * Dealing with pain
- How can the partner actually support their partner during the birth
- Take pressure and insecurities away from the father-to-be and strengthen the couple’s relationship through conscious thoughts and approaches
- Breathing and relaxation exercises
- The 3 phases of birth
- Birth positions
- Postpartum
- Sexuality after birth
We experience together:
- Intuition — Femininity — Circling — Moving — Sounding
- Pranayama — Breathing exercises — Preparing for birth
- Release/relaxation — jaw-pelvic floor connection
- Pleasure — freedom in the uterus/pelvic floor
- Savasana — Yoga Nidra for pregnant women: relaxation with aids
The course is also an opportunity for parents-to-be to exchange ideas with each other. All participants are welcome to bring in topics and questions.
It is a great pleasure for us, Sandra and Lisa, mothers of several children ourselves, to share our experiences in this area, to provide each couple with a personal toolbox and to set the mood for a wonderful birth.
These courses take place in a very small, intimate setting and there is plenty of room for your questions. You can register for the next course simply by clicking here:
Would you like to learn more about birth preparation outside of the course? Then we recommend Julie’s (Dr. med Julia Rakus) video series “Feelgoodmama”. More information here.
