Yoga & women’s health
Women’s health is at the heart of our Feelgood studios. We accompany women on all aspects of femininity, pregnancy and motherhood: from the desire to have children, pregnancy and birth preparation for couples (prenatal), to recovery after birth (postnatal).
We support you in feeling comfortable with all these changes in your body and your womanhood. It is important to us to create a space where you can exchange ideas with other mothers and simply be yourself. We also want to offer a space for topics relating to relationships, sexuality and women’s health — before and after the birth. Together with Dr. Julia Rakus from Feelgoodmedicine, we have therefore developed an all-round offer for women and expectant mothers. You can find some of the offers here:
Yoga for pregnant women
Yoga during pregnancy improves your own body awareness, the communication between mom and baby and brings holistic well-being of body, mind and soul. Targeted exercises strengthen and relax the back, teach you to regulate your breathing and prepare you for the changes in your body and the birth.
We are asked time and again: Can I practise yoga during pregnancy and if so, when? The answer is a resounding yes! Every mother can start practicing from the first day of pregnancy, the exercises are adapted to the progress of the pregnancy, regular practice is relaxing and recommended until the birth. Of course, all our pregnancy teachers are mothers themselves and can therefore answer extensive questions from their own experience. You are also welcome to attend “normal” yoga classes as long as you feel well and there is no medical reason not to. However, please let our teachers know before the class so that they can adapt the exercises for you.
If you prefer to practice online with us, we recommend Julie’s Feelgood Mama course.
Birth preparation courses
We have been offering birth preparation courses for couples for many years, because we know from our own experience that “being together” during a birth can make a significant contribution to experiencing this major event better/more intensively. The course covers the following topics:
- Preparation for the birth for moms & partners
- Phases of birth
- Birth positions
- Relaxation and breathing exercises
- Massage techniques & hand movements during and after pregnancy
- Dealing with pain
- Emotional issues of the mother or the couple
- Postpartum
- Sexuality after birth
- Exchange & questions
- and much more!
This course is designed to prepare you well for your birth, but also to exchange ideas with other Feelgoodmamas and couples. Because you are never alone! There is also plenty of room for all your questions and personal concerns.
And if you can’t wait for the course, we have a little goodie for you in the form of a short video to help you prepare for the birth at home: Acupressure for expectant moms with Dr. Julia Rakus
Postnatal training and mama baby yoga
The involution varies from woman to woman, depending on age and physical disposition, including connective tissue, muscles and bones. The involution is hormonally controlled and the body literally begins to “regress” immediately after birth.
The mother’s recovery phase after the birth is very important. Allow yourself plenty of rest and protection in the postpartum period so that you soon feel strong again. 4–6 weeks after the birth, you are welcome to start the postnatal units with us. The postnatal units are about finding yourself as a mother and woman again in your old — new body. We teach you gentle but effective exercises that rebuild the muscle balance between the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles. The aim of the postnatal exercises is to restore good abdominal wall and pelvic floor tension. We practice with joy without overstraining!
If you have the opportunity to come alone, all your attention will be on you and your exercises. If you would like to come with your baby, we look forward to seeing you both.
There will also be plenty of room for questions and exchange to learn from each other — from mommy to mommy. All sessions can be attended as normal with a 5/10 block or season ticket.

A brief introduction to the pelvic floor From a yogic perspective, the pelvic floor is the seat of our life energy (=prana). This area of our body has a major influence on our posture and gives us stability and inner strength. But our emotional world is also…
