Italy Retreat 2024

a week of yoga in Tuscany!

Join Knut this September (21.–28.9.2024) and spend a week in a very special spot in Tuscany, Italy.

our program

we practice, eat and live together on this special property. Our program will allow for enough time to explore the surroundings of this magical place and enjoy the amazing atmosphere of Tuscany.

Our day starts with an extended dynamic morning practice including asana, breathing and inputs from the yogic philosophy, the classes will make you smile, move and sweat. In the session Knut will provide ways to include/utilize yogic philosophy in everyday urban life. Our morning session will take between 2 and 3 hours.

After our morning session we will be treated with a brunch buffet overlooking the surrounding fields in this lush landscape.

There will be a late afternoon session which will end in time to watch the sunset. The afternoon session designed to unwind body and mind will take up to 2 hours. It will consist of restorative and yin poses and deeper stretches combined with a dive into selected aspect of the practice (backbends etc.).

Our whole yoga program will hence be more than 25 hours, enough to work on your tapas:)

On all days you will have more than enough time to explore the surrounding areas, go to the sea or stay at our exclusive venue by the pool and enjoy la dolce vita.

In the evenings we will enjoy a buffet style dinner outdoors (weather permitting) that might, upon your liking, include drinks made of local grapes:)

The first day of our retreat will be September 21st 2024, the last day will be September 28th 2024. On our first day we will have a relaxed afternoon session designed to stretch and relax after your travels, on our last day the retreat ends after the morning session followed by brunch.

Sunsets and sunrise are beautiful from Borgo Belsedere because it is situated on a little hill overlooking the surrounding fields. This will be a week where you can just BE if you want — a significant difference to our usual life in a city where we have to DO all the time. Remember: this is the country of “dolce far niente”. Of course there are many things you can explore in Tuscany but when was the last time you watched both sunrise and sunset in one day?

accommodation

For our retreat we have rented the beautiful Borgo Belsedere (www.borgo-belsedere.com) for our exclusive use, meaning we will have the whole property for ourselves. Borgo Belsedere ist not a hotel in the classical sense, it s more a century old farm with a mansion in the middle. It located on top of a small ridge offering you an amazing view.

The structure of the buildings has been preserved and carefully curated. Rooms at Borgo Belsedere retain the divine simplicity of life in Tuscany while being equipped with the necessary modern amenities. Rooms have two beds (some can be equipped with a third bed), some rooms share a bathroom. One bed in a double room including brunch and dinner will be 1.080 €  — please note: if you have a room mate please communicate this early so we can accommodate your choice. If you want a single room (including brunch and dinner) this will be 1.400 €.

Cost for accommodation and food will be paid directly to Borgo Belsedere, Knut will provide banking details upon confirming your room. In case of cancellation up to one month ahead of the retreat you will receive 50% of the investment back, there are no refunds for cancellation under one month before the retreat.

Capacity at Borgo Belsedere is limited, please book as soon as possible.

Please be aware: while Tuscany and the many towns and beaches have magnificent allure, remember that we have the whole place to ourselves, there is nothing you have to DO — you might spend hours simply gazing at the sun, relaxing by the pool, watching sunsets, reading your favorite book etc. — maybe this is a week where you finally DO LESS?

two yoga classes a day (one dynamic, one relaxing and unwinding) will provide the perfect backdrop for a week of dolce vita!
